Dursinah

Dursinah, a 60-year-old woman from Limo, Depok, West Java, is a mother of ten who has faced significant challenges since the closure of a makeshift waste dump where she used to work. After the dump was sealed by environmental authorities, she was forced to relocate to a distant waste sorting area in Tajur, Bogor, where she now struggles to support herself and her three unmarried children. Her daily earnings fluctuate between Rp 30,000 and Rp 50,000, and she often incurs debt to make ends meet, illustrating the harsh realities faced by many waste pickers in Indonesia.
