Ebru Ünal

Ebru Ünal is a resident of Ankara who became a victim of medical malpractice after undergoing a kidney removal surgery based on a misdiagnosis in 2018. Initially diagnosed with a life-threatening condition, she was advised to have her left kidney surgically removed; however, subsequent pathology results revealed that her condition was treatable with chemotherapy. Ebru now lives with one kidney and has faced significant physical and emotional challenges as a result of the erroneous medical decision. She has since pursued legal action against the doctor responsible for her treatment, winning a compensation case for the damages caused by the misdiagnosis.
