Edgardo Velásquez

Edgardo Velásquez is the head of the Potable Water Department of the National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (Idaan) in Panama. He has been actively involved in addressing the water quality crisis in the Río La Villa, where he has confirmed that, despite improvements in certain parameters, the water remains unsuitable for direct human consumption due to potential contamination from nematodes.
