Edoardo Pérez is a Peruvian national who moved to Switzerland in 2017 to pursue a doctoral degree in a scientific field. He entered into a partnership with David Pfister, which later became the subject of scrutiny by Swiss immigration authorities, leading to a controversial police raid on their home in August 2022.
