Edouard Karali

Edouard Karali, known by his pen name Edika, was a renowned French comic book author and artist celebrated for his unique brand of absurd humor and non-linear storytelling. Born in 1940 in Héliopolis, Egypt, he moved to Lebanon at the age of 19, where he initially worked in advertising before discovering the influential comic magazine Fluide glacial. His work is characterized by its playful irreverence and often leaves readers with unresolved gags, making him a pivotal figure in the evolution of French comic art. Edika passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 85.
