Eduardo Cisneros Contreras is an agricultural worker, merchant, and father who recently made the difficult decision to leave his community in El Guayabo, Michoacán, due to escalating violence and threats from the Cártel Michoacán Nueva Generación. Concerned for the safety of his family amidst nightly gunfire and explosive threats, Eduardo packed their belongings and sought refuge elsewhere, reflecting on the sacrifices made over the past decade to build their home.
