Eduardo Francisco Villatoro Cano, also known as 'Guayo Cano', is a notorious Guatemalan narcotrafficker implicated as the mastermind behind the Salcajá massacre in 2013, which resulted in the deaths of eight police officers. He orchestrated the attack as retaliation against the police for allegedly stealing money from his criminal organization. Villatoro Cano was captured in 2013, shortly after the massacre, as part of a larger effort to dismantle his criminal network.
