Eduart Álvarez
Eduart Álvarez is one of the twelve former military officers recently sanctioned by Colombia's Jurisdicción Especial para la Paz (JEP) for their involvement in extrajudicial killings, known as 'falsos positivos.' He, along with his co-defendants, was held responsible for the murder of 135 individuals, many of whom were innocent civilians, and will be required to perform community service as part of their restorative justice sentence.
