Edward Heron Allen

Edward Heron Allen was a British polymath, writer, and scientist known for his work in various fields, including natural history. He gained notoriety for being the last known owner of the infamous Delhi Amethyst, a gemstone reputed to be cursed. After acquiring the stone in the late 19th century, Allen experienced a series of misfortunes that led him to believe in its supernatural properties. He famously warned future owners of the amethyst to dispose of it to avoid its supposed curse.
