Edward McGarrell

Edward McGarrell is the Toshao (village leader) of Chenapau, a community in Guyana. He has been actively involved in advocating for the needs of his community, particularly in the aftermath of the tragic 2023 Mahdia dormitory fire, which resulted in the loss of 20 children. McGarrell raised concerns regarding the lack of professional counseling and therapy for students affected by this traumatic event.
