Edward Muir
Edward Muir is the regional operations manager for the National Solid Waste Management Authority’s (NSWMA) Western Parks and Markets Waste Management Limited. He is responsible for overseeing the management of waste disposal facilities, including the St James’ Retirement landfill. Recently, Muir defended the security protocols at the landfill in response to allegations made by local councillor Michael Troupe regarding the retrieval of discarded meat by scavengers. Muir emphasized the presence of 24-hour security at the site and reaffirmed the established protocols to ensure the safe disposal of food waste, insisting that no confirmed reports of such activities have occurred.
