Edward Palmer

Edward Palmer was the founder of Veeraswamy, the oldest Indian restaurant in Britain, which opened in 1926. He was the great-grandson of General William Palmer, who served as private secretary to Warren Hastings, the first governor-general of the Presidency of Fort William.
