Edward Ssebuufu

Edward Ssebuufu is an opposition activist in Uganda and the head of personal security for National Unity Platform leader Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine. He was recently in the news after being arrested by Ugandan security forces, during which he was allegedly tortured, as indicated by a photo posted on social media by military chief Muhoozi Kainerugaba. The image, which showed Ssebuufu in a humiliating and distressing state, has sparked outrage from human rights organizations and opposition parties, highlighting the ongoing repression of dissent in Uganda ahead of upcoming elections.
