Edwin Legarda

Edwin Legarda was an indigenous leader in Colombia who was assassinated in 2008, an act attributed to members of the military. His death highlighted the violence faced by indigenous communities in Colombia, and his wife, Aida Quilcué, has since become a prominent figure in advocating for indigenous rights and social justice.
