Eenok Haamer

Eenok Haamer is a prominent Estonian Lutheran minister and theologian, known for his extensive contributions to the church and education in Estonia. He served as a pastor for over 30 years in various congregations, including Maarja-Magdaleena and Tartu Soome, and played a significant role in the establishment of the Tartu Theological Academy. Haamer has held several important positions within the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church (EELK), including serving as a professor and pro-dean at the Institute of Theology from 1977 to 1992, and as the leader of the EELK since 2002. He has received numerous accolades for his service, including the EELK Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023, highlighting his dedication to spiritual leadership and community service.
