Efrat Cohen

Efrat Cohen, a 47-year-old administrative manager at the Weizmann Institute, is a devoted mother from Rehovot, Israel. She gave birth to her first son, Sahar, at 22 and later welcomed her second son, Malachi, who was born with a rare condition known as Treacher Collins syndrome. Efrat's journey as a mother took a dramatic turn during Malachi's birth, where she faced the challenges of having a child with significant medical needs. Despite the initial heartbreak of having to place her son in foster care, Efrat has since embraced her role as a co-parent, developing a close relationship with Malachi's foster family.
