Egor Ispenkov was a Belarusian man whose life became tragically intertwined with the conflicts in his country and abroad. During the 2020 elections, he was a nursing student in Belarus, participating in protests against the government and facing severe police violence. After a tumultuous period leading to a falling out with his family, he fled to Ukraine and later applied for refugee status in Poland as the war escalated. Ispenkov joined the Ukrainian military, where he was deployed to the front lines. Struggling with mental health issues and a tumultuous relationship with his boyfriend Artem, their relationship turned violent, culminating in a horrific incident of abuse. Following this, Ispenkov took his own life, leaving behind a series of troubling messages that revealed his inner turmoil and struggle with depression.
