
Elba Ramos
Elba Ramos was a Salvadoran educator and the housekeeper of the Jesuit priests at the Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas (UCA) in El Salvador. She was murdered alongside the priests in November 1989 during a brutal military attack. Her tragic death highlights the collateral damage of the civil war and the dangers faced by those who supported the efforts of the clergy to promote social justice and human rights.
