Elen Soghomonyan

Elen Soghomonyan, 23, is a British citizen of Armenian heritage and a law graduate from Royal Holloway University of London, aspiring to become a barrister. She married her husband, Dmitri Piliposyan, in Armenia in January 2022 but has been facing challenges in reuniting with him due to new English proficiency requirements imposed by the UK government. Currently 11 weeks pregnant, Soghomonyan expresses deep frustration over the separation caused by immigration policies, highlighting the emotional toll it has taken on her mental health.
