Elena Berezovich

Elena Berezovich is a prominent Russian philologist and a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, specializing in toponymy and the study of regional dialects. She has contributed significantly to the understanding and preservation of the Russian language and its cultural heritage. Recently, she was not elected as an academician due to controversy surrounding her previous support for a letter opposing military operations in Ukraine.
