
Elena Roibu
Elena Roibu is a former judge of the Criuleni Court in Moldova, who gained notoriety for being the first judge sentenced to prison for corruption in the country. In June 2014, she was convicted of accepting a bribe to acquit two defendants and was sentenced to eight years in prison. Shortly before her sentencing, she fled the courtroom, leading to her being placed on international wanted lists. As of now, she remains elusive, with authorities still searching for her more than eleven years after her conviction.
