Elena Shepeleva

Elena Shepeleva is the head of the patent and licensing department at the Russian pharmaceutical company 'Évalar'. She has recently been in the news for her involvement in a complaint filed by Évalar with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) against the Austrian company MegaInpharm GmbH, the former patent holder of the antiseptic Miramistin. Shepeleva emphasized that Évalar is legally producing a generic version of Miramistin since the patent protection expired in 2021, arguing that the actions of MegaInpharm represent an abuse of rights and an attempt to maintain a 'forever green' patent.
