Elena Šuliauskaitė-sesuo Gerarda was a notable figure in the Lithuanian resistance against the Soviet regime, recognized for her role as one of the secret publishers of the 'Lithuanian Catholic Chronicle.' She was dismissed from her position at Vilnius State University over 50 years ago due to her religious beliefs and anti-Soviet activities. She is also a recipient of the Freedom Prize, and her memory is being honored with a diploma as part of a broader initiative to acknowledge those who suffered under totalitarianism.
