Eleno Alfonso Arroquia is a 73-year-old individual who was recently implicated in a case of usury in Pedro Juan Caballero, Paraguay. During an operation led by prosecutor Mirta Martínez, authorities seized approximately G. 179 million in cash and multiple debit cards allegedly used by Arroquia to collect debts from borrowers. Despite the serious nature of the charges, including the claim that he charged exorbitant interest rates, the prosecutor chose not to detain him considering his age and reported health issues.
