Eliamne Gutiérrez

Eliamne Gutiérrez is the coordinator of the Integrated Wildlife Management Program at the Gobernación, responsible for overseeing the management and care of wildlife within the region. Recently, she was in the news for coordinating the response efforts when a domesticated ocelot escaped from its enclosure at the Center for Care and Referral (CAD). Gutiérrez emphasized the importance of public safety and urged citizens to remain calm, assuring them that there was no cause for panic as the animal was familiar with humans. Her expertise and leadership were crucial in mobilizing search efforts, which included the use of thermal drones and intensive ground searches.
