Elián Sebastián Beltrán Vanegas
Elián Sebastián Beltrán Vanegas, a 24-year-old subteniente originally from Caparrapí, Cundinamarca, was a member of the Arm of Infantry. Having ascended to the rank of subteniente in June after serving as a non-commissioned officer, he was recognized for his exceptional military performance. He tragically died during a military training exercise in the Río Magdalena.
