Eliana Bray

Eliana Bray is a Cree sommelier and chef who is at the forefront of a new generation of Indigenous winemakers in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. With a distinctive approach that merges her viticulture training with Cree customs, she aims to redefine winemaking and promote Indigenous culinary traditions. Bray has worked at prestigious wineries and recently launched Cree-ation Nation, where she plans to pair Indigenous dishes with local wines. Her journey of rediscovery of her Indigenous roots, aided by a chance encounter, has inspired her to use wine as a medium for creativity, connection, and cultural reclamation.
