Elías Ramírez Andrés

Elías Ramírez Andrés was a Guatemalan politician and businessman who gained attention as a candidate for the mayoralty of El Tejar, Chimaltenango, in the recent elections where he finished in second place representing the Cabal party. He was also known for owning a construction company and had been involved in various municipal projects, including work related to the Roosevelt Hospital. Tragically, he was shot and killed on November 8, 2023, near the central park of Parramos, with over 27 shell casings found at the scene, raising concerns about violence in the region.
