Elias Vlanton

Elias Vlanton, also known as Ηλίας Βλαντονόπουλος, is an esteemed scholar and educator, currently residing in Washington, D.C. He has dedicated over 45 years to researching American archival documents related to Greece, particularly during the World War II and post-war period. An honorary doctor at St. Mary’s College in Maryland, Vlanton is the author of 'Who Killed George Polk: The Press Covers Up a Death in the Family' (1996). His recent work includes the digitalization of a significant collection of declassified U.S. intelligence documents about Greece, which is now accessible to the public, providing insights into the historical complexities of the time.
