Elio Balacca

Elio Balacca, born on March 2, 1926, in Montescudo, Italy, recently celebrated his 100th birthday, marking a remarkable milestone in his life. He moved to Riccione in 1957, where he co-founded the first wholesale fruit and vegetable store in the area, catering to local hotels and shops during a booming tourist era. Balacca married Flavia Ceccoli in 1958, and they had two children, Andrea and Giovanna, along with grandchildren Gabriele and Alberto. In the late 1970s, he and his brothers opened Hotel Viking in Viserbella di Rimini, which they managed for over three decades. Even after retiring, Balacca remained active, tending to his large vegetable garden until the age of 98. His recent birthday celebration included the renewal of his driver's license, a testament to his vibrant spirit and energy.
