Elísa Björk Jónsdóttir

Elísa Björk Jónsdóttir is the owner of Hammona, the only grocery store and eatery in the village of Þingeyri, Iceland. She has decided to close her business at the end of July due to the challenges of running it year-round, particularly during quieter winter months. Elísa is transitioning to a new job in road work, where she will prepare meals for her colleagues and earn a higher salary with more time off. Despite the closure, she remains committed to her community, having recently purchased a home in Þingeyri and hoping for a successor to take over her store.
