Elisabetta Trenta

Elisabetta Trenta, born in 1967 in Velletri, is an Italian politician and former Minister of Defense in the Conte I government. She has a background in political science and security, having served as an expert in various international missions, including Iraq. After leaving the Five Star Movement in 2021, she has recently been elected as the secretary of the Christian Democracy party in Campania, amidst internal disputes and accusations of a 'coup' from political opponents.
