Elise Stevens
Elise Stevens, affectionately known as MeeMaw, is the owner of a pay-what-you-can restaurant, MeeMaw's Hometown Kitchen, in Union, Oregon. Opened in June 2024, her eatery feeds hundreds weekly and operates on a model of faith and community support, allowing patrons to pay what they can afford. After escaping an abusive relationship nearly two decades ago, Stevens turned her life around, dedicating herself to a mission of service and generosity, which she attributes to divine guidance. She also reinvests her earnings from social media back into her restaurant to help those in need.
