Elizabeth Mendy

Elizabeth Mendy is the widow of former Gambian Armed Forces lieutenant colonel Pierre Mendy. She has been a strong voice for justice, lamenting the slow progress in holding perpetrators accountable for human rights abuses in The Gambia and calling for significant sentences for those involved in the atrocities committed during the dictatorship of Yahya Jammeh.
