Elli Chorianopoulou is the newly appointed deputy regional governor of the South Aegean for environmental and spatial planning issues. Her latest appointment was announced by the regional governor, Giorgos Chatzimarkos, with whom she is politically aligned. Chorianopoulou has also expressed support for minimal restrictions on off-plan construction in public forums, emphasizing her commitment to development in the region despite ongoing concerns about over-tourism and environmental impact.
