Els Himma was a renowned Estonian jazz singer and a style icon, known for her unique vocal timbre and contributions to the local music scene. She began her singing career at the age of 22 with the band Kevad in Tallinn and is celebrated as the first female jazz singer in Estonia. Over the years, she recorded numerous popular songs and appeared in several films, showcasing her versatility across genres including folk, jazz, and pop. Himma was also a member of the jury for the Eesti Laul and participated in the Estonian jury for the Eurovision Song Contest. She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy and Helen.
