Else Lidegaard was a prominent Danish journalist and television producer, known for her significant contributions to the cultural landscape in Denmark during the 1970s and 1980s. She worked with the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), where she produced influential documentaries, including 'Med Danmark i Zimbabwe.' Lidegaard was also a passionate advocate for asylum seekers and co-founded the organization Bedsteforældre for Asyl, which aimed to raise awareness and support for asylum issues in Denmark. Her legacy includes her four sons and a large extended family, comprising 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Lidegaard passed away at the age of 92, as announced by her son, Martin Lidegaard.
