Elvira Imanberdieva

Elvira Imanberdieva is a Kazakhstani legal scholar and educator with over 20 years of experience in the field of education and science. She pursued her doctoral studies at the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in Moscow, benefiting from the prestigious Bolashak scholarship. Despite facing significant personal challenges, including the loss of a child and health complications, Imanberdieva continued her academic work. She was recently in the news after being ordered by a court to repay 25 million tenge to the Bolashak program due to her inability to complete her dissertation on time, resulting in the freezing of her bank accounts and a travel ban that prevents her from defending her doctoral thesis abroad.
