Elza Lapiņa is a Latvian visual artist, born in 1992, who graduated from the Visual Communication program at the Latvian Academy of Arts in 2023. She creates audiovisual works and installations that are often site-specific, considering the exhibition environment in her artistic practice. Lapiņa incorporates techniques and practices from restoration, offering new interpretations of events beyond mere facts. Her works, including the series 'Time Landscapes', explore the changing nature of our surroundings and challenge perceptions of authenticity and originality in art.
