Emigdio is a friar known for his role in the legend of Diego Castillo, where he performed an exorcism to rid Castillo of the demonic influence following his pact with the Devil. His actions are remembered in the folklore surrounding the old Amate tree and the supernatural events that take place in Guatemala's historical center.
