Émile Gsell

Émile Gsell was a French photographer known for his work in documenting Vietnamese culture during the 19th century. His photograph of two women in traditional áo dài, taken in 1866, is a significant representation of Vietnamese fashion history and is currently displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
