Emiliyan Gebrev is a Bulgarian businessman known for founding 'Emko', a company that specializes in the export of ammunition. His career in the arms trade began in the early 1990s after leaving the state-owned 'Kinteks', which dealt with weapon exports during the communist era. Gebrev gained notoriety in 2001 when U.S. customs authorities detained a shipment of 30 million rounds of ammunition bound for Nicaragua. In recent years, he has faced legal issues, including charges related to organized crime and money laundering in connection with his business activities.
