Emma Borden was the older sister of Lizzie Borden and the daughter of Andrew and Sarah Borden. Born in 1851, she was known for her close relationship with Lizzie during their childhood, although their bond became strained after the infamous double murder of their father and stepmother in 1892. After the trial, Emma and Lizzie lived together until a significant feud over Lizzie's social activities led to their estrangement. Emma spent her later years in relative seclusion and passed away in 1927.
