Enzo Staiola

Enzo Staiola was an Italian child actor best known for his poignant role as Bruno Ricci in Vittorio De Sica's acclaimed neo-realist film 'Ladri di Biciclette' (Bicycle Thieves), which he performed at the tender age of nine. Discovered by De Sica while walking home from school, Staiola's captivating performance in the film secured his place in cinema history. After his early success, he appeared in a few more films, including 'La Contessa Scalza' alongside Humphrey Bogart and Ava Gardner, before pursuing a career away from acting as a mathematics teacher and later a public servant.
