Erasmus of Rotterdam

Erasmus of Rotterdam was a Dutch theologian and humanist, regarded as one of the foremost figures of the Renaissance and Reformation. He advocated for religious tolerance and criticized the Catholic Church's practices during his time, becoming a precursor to the Protestant Reformation, although he remained committed to Catholicism.
