Erhan Arıklı

Erhan Arıklı is a prominent Turkish Cypriot politician and the leader of the Yeniden Doğuş Party (YDP), a coalition partner in the government of Northern Cyprus. He has been active in advocating for policies that support the Turkish Cypriot administration's interests, particularly in relation to property issues stemming from the Cyprus conflict. Recently, he gained media attention for proposing the lifting of the military status of the city of Maraş and facilitating property returns to Greek Cypriots through the Immovable Property Commission (TMK), arguing that this could benefit the economy of Northern Cyprus while also addressing longstanding property disputes.
