Eric Bogantes Cabezas

Eric Bogantes Cabezas is the General Regulator of the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) in Costa Rica, responsible for overseeing public services and ensuring regulatory compliance. Recently, he was in the news due to the Contraloría General de la República's findings regarding significant deficiencies in the management and regulation of the electric service by Aresep and the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), which could lead to risks of electrical rationing and unjustified increases in electricity tariffs.
