Eric Lindbergh Huntley
Eric Lindbergh Huntley was a prominent Guyanese political reformer and publisher who played a pivotal role in the struggle for independence in Guyana, co-founding the People's Progressive Party (PPP) in 1950. After relocating to Britain in 1956, he and his wife Jessica established Bogle L’Ouverture Publications, a significant platform for black writers and radical literature. He remained active in political and cultural advocacy until his passing in January 2026 at the age of 96.
