Erick 'La China' Corrales was a Costa Rican footballer known for his time with Deportivo Saprissa from 2003 to 2005. He began his career playing for local neighborhood teams before joining Compañeros de Tibás, where he was scouted by Saprissa in a humorous exchange involving soccer balls and cones. Throughout his career, he played for several clubs, including Barrio México, Municipal Grecia, and Nejapa in El Salvador. Tragically, Corrales passed away in a scooter accident in Virginia, USA, at the age of 40, leaving behind a legacy as a beloved figure in Costa Rican football.
