Erik Wieërs is a Belgian architect and professor at the University of Antwerp, recognized globally for his contributions to sustainable urban development. He has been instrumental in advocating for inclusive city designs that address complex urban challenges. Recently, he visited Bogotá, Colombia, where he highlighted the city's urgent need for affordable housing, green spaces, and a comprehensive master plan to guide its growth.
